The production of wines in the Perelada Castle has been documented since the Middle Ages. In 1923 Miguel Mateu Pla bought the Castle of Perelada with the aim of revitalising the winemaking tradition of the Carmelite friars.
Javier Suqué is currently at the helm of the winery, planting vineyards, producing high-quality wines and cavas and forming a team of highly prestigious winemakers.
