Tasting Notes:
- Color: Deep violet, clear and bright.
- Aroma: Complex. Floral notes of violets appear along with fruity nuances such as black cherry, typical of the variety. Its aging in barrels gives it aromas of cinnamon and coconut, contributing to its aromatic complexity.
- Palate: Seductive, unctuous and round. With silky tannins and a velvety texture, the persistence of fruity and floral aromas stands out, resulting in a very elegant, fleshy and appealing wine.
Elaboration and Breeding:Elaboration: 4 delestages and 10 pumping overs made during the fermentation improved the extraction of the wine. The wine resulting from the maceration is placed in contact with 80% French and 20% American oak, where it remains for twelve months to be slightly clarified with egg whites and finally bottled. Terrazas de los Andes makes its wines with grapes grown at the ideal altitude, where each variety develops its maximum expression of aromas and flavors. Because of this, each wine offers the reflection of the varietal typicity, an objective that is fervently pursued from the vineyard to the aging and release.
The Terrazas de los Andes team is composed of experienced oenologists and vineyard specialists who combine more than one hundred years of experience in winemaking in Mendoza and Europe. Each of the participants in this team is responsible for the quality, style and development of their vineyards and wines, as well as being responsible for leading the evolution of Cheval des Andes, the joint venture of Terrazas de los Andes and Cheval Blanc.
Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels.
