The alliance of Bodega Hacienda Calavia and Bodega Marques de Reinosa in Autol (La Rioja), has been in existence for more than 60 years, within the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin.

Don Joaquín Garrada y Orate, the first Marquis of Reinosa established his winery in Autol in 1858. Orate was a strong advocate of Spanish winegrowers and the production of high quality wines during his time as a senator of the Kingdom of Spain, in this sense.

The Cutillas family, with over 36 years of experience as promoters and producers of high quality Spanish wines, together with the Bodega Marqués de Reinosa and the combined talents of winemaker Ana Rubio, have created exceptional Crianza and Reserva blends to produce the ¨Grupo Hacienda Calavia¨.

With a continuous programme of development and improvement of our wines, to give each of them their own personality and individuality, without losing sight of changing and evolving tastes.

In recent years we have developed our rosé and white wines with freshness and quality in mind. As a result, we have had a very good response to these new additions.

The cultivation of our vineyards is continuously monitored by the phytosanitary services of the Government of La Rioja. Always complying with the specific criteria of soil type, climate, geographical situation of the vineyards, age of the vineyards, grape variety etc... at a very high level, helping our D.O.

The use of the most modern automated machines in our winery in continuous evolution, allows the process from the grape harvest, to its fermentation, and the development of the grape layer to evolve in a less aggressive way, by means of a rigorous control of the temperature, thus producing a more enriched colour and aroma to start the process of creation of the wine.

The best wines produced from each vintage are placed in French and American oak barrels in a climate-controlled environment for a minimum of three to five years to allow for more relaxed ageing.
