For Bodegas Berceo 1872 was a year of events of international importance. In Haro path name begins Gurpegui in the Spanish wine scene. A historical and cultural context that could only herald extraordinary consequences.

Almost half a century after the pioneering family Gurpegui initiate the creation of Bodegas Berceo that today is one of the most important Spanish winemakers groups, respect for the inherited tradition and deep love of wine still its signs of identity recognized.

We have warehouses in different areas of development. On the one hand, we have 10 production facilities with totally different soils and climates in the three districts of Rioja: Haro, San Adrián, Baños de Ebro, Sojuela, Medrano, Autol, Train, San Asensio, Windy and Andosilla. In Navarre same criteria applied in three areas: Eslava, down hill, Villafranca and Corella in Ribera Alta and Carcar in Estella. Our wines in the Land of Extremadura, in a decisive moment of conversion to higher-quality varieties come from the region of Ribera del Guadiana.And finally, the Pays d'Oc French is made from the best strains of this wine region of unquestionable reputation.

In the New World, however, is the varietal that determines your character, grapes becomes center stage to offer a guarantee of consistency vintage after vintage. And following his trail, we reached the heart of the best wine-growing zone of Chile, the Colchagua Valley. There, in the purest château style, we acquired a vineyard of 80 hectares which we called The Barony and improve their chances replanting all the property with wood from old vines of Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Malbec, the most extraordinary of the country to offer wines from a purely Spanish Group New World style.
